March 5-Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, FL

We're down in the Florida panhandle and have driven along the coast. Evidently spring vacation is just beginning so it isn't as busy as we thought it might be. We managed to get lucky and find an empty campsite at this park. It's absolutely beautiful. FL state parks are all fancy so we have power, water, and sewer at our site. After dry camping at Walmarts this is heaven. We both took LONG showers and we've done several loads of laundry. We walked up and down the beach yesterday afternoon and watched the sunset. The sand is a lovely white and there aren't very many people. More walking today, then we'll move on tomorrow.

Hi Travelers!
Nice to see you're in the warm instead of the east coast blizzards! Those beaches look gorgeous! I was going to send you a photo of what the sunset looks like from the middle of the Gulf, but couldn't figure out how to do it...just imagine standing at 20% and bouncing through the waves, with no land in sight..ha!!
Where are you headed next? It must be nice to have the sunset over the water again, instead of the sunrise!! WESTWARD HOOOOOO!
:-)
With views like that I wouldn't want to go any where else.
